Mindful Practices is pleased to share the announcement for the launch of the Chicago Fire Foundation P.L.A.Y.S. program (Participate, Learn, Achieve Youth Soccer), a first of its kind program that integrates soccer with social and emotional learning. In collaboration with World Sport Chicago, the Chicago Fire Foundation, Academy for Urban School Leadership (AUSL), University of North Carolina, and The University of Chicago, Mindful Practices developed the social emotional learning (SEL) curriculum that focuses on using sport to instill "grit" as a means to grow social and emotional learning skills of youth.
The 10-week P.L.A.Y.S. program will kickoff in eight AUSL schools throughout Chicago.
